Big Changes Coming!

Anyone that follows my Facebook page has already heard that there are some big changes coming for my site. And I promised a blog post that would address it, so here it is!

I am doing a complete rebranding, including a brand new name. The actual website address – staceylynnwells dot com – will remain the same. But that’s likely the only thing that will be unchanged.

If you’re already subscribed here at Scribbles & Sustenance, you don’t need to do anything. You’ll still get alerts, just like always, but with a new name when the email comes through.

Why Rebrand the Site?

I have asked myself this question a million times. Long before I actually started researching what it would take, what the best options would be, and if I needed to be concerned with certain particulars, I figured I’d just stick with the old site. But the Holy Ghost had other plans.

The idea simply wouldn’t leave me and I’ve learned, when that happens, start praying! As I did, little by little, it became clear why I had to put in the effort and work on an entire rebrand.

All Out War

For starters, I’m just not the same person I was when I started this blogging adventure. At first, in the midst of trauma and turmoil in my life, I started my VERY FIRST BLOG. It was called “All Out War” because that’s exactly what my life felt like.

I had heard that writing could be therapeutic. I mean, I always knew that. I’ve only been writing forever. But I’d never written through something I really needed to be rid of. Long story short, though, I never did. All Out War was just an afterthought really because getting THROUGH the turmoil was hard enough all by itself.

The Tide Starts to Turn

I still wasn’t clear on exactly what I wanted to do, even when I purchased my first hosted site. Actually, I was doing it more for my new job – freelance writing – and just kind of used the blog feature as an “extra” to have something to do in the meantime. Sort of like a living portfolio.

As my blogs became more defined, and as I ventured into new things here and there, it was obvious that Jesus was trying to do a work in my life that He had not previously told me about! (Isn’t that the way it goes?) Suddenly, I found myself taking part in ministries in a Facebook group I am a part of, and being asked to take on administration roles in not one, but two groups that mean a lot to me.

That was when it started to become clear to me that maybe, just maybe, God wanted more from me than church three times a week and “a little blog on the side.” Maybe my writing was actually going to be used for Kingdom purposes.

And THAT is when things got exciting. You can read about that here, if you want to find out all about it!

When Will the Rebrand Happen?

Right now, I have loosely set the Re-Launch date for October 1. That should be enough time to get everything together. In the event that it will take longer, you’ll find, when you visit here, that I will have updated the maintenance message to let you know. I will also try to make sure my progress is mentioned on the Facebook page, mentioned above.

What Kinds of Changes Will There Be?

You can expect an entirely new look, with a brand new blog name and a redefined purpose! Just as God has moved me out of my comfort zone and into a new area of servitude in the Kingdom, so my blog has to come along with me. After all, it is for HIM and HIM ALONE that I even do my blogging. It has brought me great joy, but more than that, I know that at least once or twice, it has encouraged people. And I can’t praise Him enough for that!

You’ll also see a new author or two that will be coming aboard here, as well as the possibility of a site forum, where moderators will be set up for wonderful times of fellowship. If this is something you might be interested in, please be sure to mention that in the comments. It might be a determining factor as to whether or not it actually happens 🙂

I’m looking forward to also sharing much more from my YouTube channel. Bible studies and some snips of our music ministry for sure. Apart from that, God will show us.

Feel Free To Come Along!

If you feel so inclined, after reviewing the new site, you can drop some comments, or contact via my contact section above, and let me know what you think!

It’s pretty exciting and I look forward to your coming along with me! Let’s see what God is going to do!
