I have had a YouTube channel, called Wells
One right after the other, I started having every imaginable problem that could be had as a creator. First, my computer crashed. It was only 3 years old too. Could not, in any way, make it work again. So I got another used one. That worked great for awhile until I realized the version of Windows on it was not compatible with most sites, and certainly not video editing software.
Ok, so I just kept pushing along. Two more used computers still didn’t work out so I bit the bullet and bought a brand spanking new one. I had scrimped and saved and got what I thought was the best option for the large amount of money I spent. Needless to say, it fizzled out in 18 days flat. I could tell you the very LONG story about what went down with HP, but let’s just say I was without my computer, even after the warranty and extended warranty, for almost a month and a half. UGH!
So, I finally got my computer back and thought, this is it… this time I can really get my YouTube channel off the ground!
Even More Channel Problems
After getting my computer back and checking it carefully, I thought I was ready to go. I downloaded all my editing software again and everything else I needed to go along with it. I was just about ready to dive back in, and actually got a video or two out, and then our modem died.
Of course, getting that taken care of wasn’t NEARLY the hassle dealing with HP was. Will never purchase another HP product so long as we all shall live! Anyway. That’s another story, like I said. I am finally, at this point, back up and ready to make content. My super awesome amazing hubby even helped me put together my very first lighting rig tonight! How cool is that? I haven’t used it yet, but tomorrow it’s on!
You Know You’re On The Right Track
I’ve talked with several people about all the trouble I’ve had trying to get my YouTube channel off the ground. One thing that really had me stumped was, I really felt called by God to do videos. Still do. I’ve even blogged about it here before. And I remember telling a few people, “You know, I guess it’s just not meant to be. Maybe I’m not suppose to be making videos after all?
But the responses were pretty much all the same. Which equals, in my humble opinion, a little something called “confirmation!”
They all seemed to agree that the trouble I’ve been going through only serves as PROOF that I’m on the right track. That I’m doing what I’m suppose to be doing. They said if I weren’t a threat, the enemy wouldn’t be trying to hard to stop me from doing this. If I weren’t a threat, my channel would be up and flourishing and doing well.
Hmm. Well, if that’s true, I’m just going to keep plugging on. In fact, I’m sharing this video here today, and will be sharing a few others along the way. I’m just going to keep on getting the word out.
After all, isn’t that what we’re all called to do?
Please feel free to like, share, comment, and by all means, subscribe to my channel if you find my content interesting or worthwhile. I will say, I’m in the beginning stages, so it’s going to get better! 🙂
